Warrant Round-Up

The Harris County Constables and the Harris County Justice Courts will participate in the
2011 Statewide Warrant Round-Up, February 18, 2011 through Sunday, March 13, 2011. While citizens remain subject to arrest for outstanding warrants, law enforcement officers will begin making arrests on Saturday, March 5, 2011. This increased effort will continue through Sunday, March 13, 2011.

The Justice Courts will be open on Saturday, March 5, 2011, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. to assist citizens. Citizens appearing in court can pay fines in cash, cashier’s checks, and money orders or by credit cards. Citizens may also post bail and set cases for court. An assistant district attorney will be available to review proof of renewal of driver’s licenses, registration and inspection certificates; evidence of correction of equipment defects and to discuss cases with citizens and attorneys.

“When I took office on January 1st I inherited nearly 5,000 open warrants. We are attempting to dispose of them as fast and efficiently as possible. I encourage all citizens that have open warrants or pending cases in my court to take advantage of this opportunity to dispose of their cases. Citizens who had cases as juveniles and are not certain that all their cases have been disposed of should contact the court immediately,” advised Judge Don Coffey.

Judge Coffey’s court is located at 701 W. Baker Road, Baytown, 77521 and the court’s office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You may contact the court at (281) 427-7749 to inquire about outstanding warrants or pending cases.

Citizens with outstanding warrants are encouraged to avoid arrest by voluntarily paying fines or immediately contacting the court.
