CROSBY Although two proposed projects to widen FM 2100 from Hare Road to FM 1960 in Huffman have been funded for design and right of way acquisition to be completed in April of 2017, 0% of the right of way acquisition has been completed according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
Design concepts show that the proposals are for a four lane divided highway from Crosby to Huffman, various property owners have phoned in concerns for access to their businesses and design implementation is still underway.
Plans included the purchase of eight businesses between the proposed roadway.
Rep. Wayne Smith R. 127th District had pushed the proposal through to legislation.
