DAYTON – The 2020 High School US 90 Cougars against Broncos rivalry goes to Crosby for a 24 to 0 victory last Friday.

It all began with a 17 yard pass a long dash and a four yard touchdown in the first quarter to put Crosby ahead. In the second quarter, Crosby scored fourteen points with plenty of running capped with short passes. The impact of Coach Jerry Prieto was clearly visible on the sidelines as Crosby clinched their first district game.

Overall, Crosby goes to 2-2 and prepares to take on rival Barbers Hill this Friday inside the Jungle or Cougar Stadium.

Both teams got 6 penalties in the game but Dayton’s were for 25 yards against 43 for Crosby. Crosby had 17 first downs in the game against 13 for Dayton.

Dayton began to play like a different defense after the half-time however, they never gave up another touchdown and it was only late in the fourth quarter that Crosby was to score a field goal to give them 24 points.

Reggie Branch was the offensive hero for Crosby and Trevon King was the defensive hero. Michael Rey was the special teams hero.
