HIGHLANDS – Santa Claus is planning on arriving in Highlands on Saturday night, December 5th at 5:00 pm. He is expected to arrive on a fire truck from the Highlands Volunteer Fire Department.

In spite of the restrictions placed on public events due to the COVID19 pandemic, children can expect to have their picture taken with Santa, and to give him a letter that the child wrote, listing gift wishes and other Holiday greetings. To keep everyone safe, distances will be maintained, and although Santa will be in the Gazebo in the park, children will only be able to stand outside near the entry.

Chamber president Jessica Woods said that there will also be the walkway of decorated Christmas trees.

In addition, the Rotary club is planning on serving cookies and hot chocolate at the fire station, as they have in previous years.
