CROSBY – In the annual Battle of Highway 90, the Crosby Cougars overpowered the Dayton Broncos team by a final score of 52-21 last Friday night, Sept. 24 at Cougar Stadium. An indication of the intensity of play by the Cougars was the fact that at half-time they led 49-0.

For the Broncos, QB Blayne Denton completed 22 of 36 passes, for a gain of 230 yards. In the running game, H. Campbell carried 5 times, for a total yardage of 103, or average 20 yards per carry. Touchdowns by receivers included D. Washington, A. Garner, and I. Ramirez. Dayton Broncos had a total gain of 332 yards, including 192 passing and 140 rushing.

For the Cougars, QB Cyrin Myles was awarded Offensive player of the game, and Braden Womack special teams player of the game. Myles has 7 for 7 passes, for a total gain of 252 yards. The Cougars had 394 total yards gained, with 314 passing yards and 80 rushing yards.
