HIGHLANDS Rotary President Joe Hausberger announced this week that tickets were now available for the annual Chili Feast and raffle, to be held the first weekend in February, at St. Judes social hall.
Members of the Rotary Club sell these tickets every year, to raise money for the many community projects that they underwrite every year, including Boy Scouts, Highlands Fire Department, and scholarships.
Tickets are two prices, according to Chili Feast chairwoman Patricia Scott: $6.00 for the Chili Luncheon, featuring Chester Stasneys famous chili recipe, and $100 for a limited reverse draw raffle for a new 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab truck, and 11 other prizes.
These tickets are now available from every club member, and from local businesses, including Woodforest Bank, Gerlands Food Fair market, Rainbow Jewelry and Pawn, Crosby State Bank, and many other locations in Highlands, Crosby and Baytown.
Scott pointed out that the raffle tickets make a great stocking stuffer or gift for someone away from home.
