FIRST HUFFMAN EXPO FLOURISHES

Hargrave’s Falcon mascot tours the Craft & Consumer Expo at Hargrave High School.

HUFFMAN – The Hargrave High School Commons were packed last Saturday as the community turned out for an event that displayed local business and talent.

The Crosby-Huffman Chamber of Commerce’s staff of President Glenda Logsdon with Dayna Raykin put together a delightful, talent packed event last Saturday that was the first to display Huffman’s many business and community attractions within the school. In broad support were the J.R.O.T.C. selling books on disaster survival and performing exhibition drills with the classic M-1 Garand 30.06 rifle.

Logsdon expressed her feelings concerning the event as, “We had an absolutely amazing turnout for our first ever Lake Houston Craft & Consumer Expo!! We want to send a huge thank you to everyone that helped make it possible!

Thank you to the LHCCE Committee, volunteers, vendors, entertainers, Hargrave HS J.R.O.T.C. and staff, Huffman ISD staff, and to all of the shoppers and visitors we had. Because of all of you this event today was a great success! We couldn’t be more pleased. Vendors made money, shoppers bought great product and at good prices. Huffman High School provided incredible entertainment via the Falconettes, Ovation, and the JROTC, HMS and HHS Cheerleaders, also with the May Centers Belles and Beaus . More events are coming to Huffman through the Chamber. We always need committee volunteers if you want to be active in our community and be a part of something special… Thanks Huffman for your support.”

Door prizes, giveaways information booths and local entertainment embellished free admittance to an escallated event for a rainy Saturday.
