CROSBY – A three-vehicle collision injuring eight, including two pregnant women, occurred Friday, March 1 at about 7:41 p.m. near the intersection of US 90 at Westgate.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office investigated the horrendous crash and Harris County ESD#5 (Crosby’s ambulance crews) were the primary rescuers with Crosby VFD.
Jordon Paris, 19. faces intoxication assault following a field sobriety test in an accident that Paris is said to have “failed to yield right of way at a designated stop.” His court date was set for Monday.
According to accident investigators there were 5 people in the vehicle Paris was driving, two of them pregnant women. It appears he was crossing US 90 to turn left toward Dayton when a truck driven by an older man headed in that direction sideswiped his vehicle. This crash threw Paris’ vehicle into another, an SUV.
Both pregnant women were loaded onto a Life Flight helicopter, side by side. An unconscious woman related to the accident was loaded into another Life Flight helicopter. Five other patients were taken by ambulance to local hospitals with injuries ranging up to serious.
Sheriff Ed Gonzales expressed concern about the multiple vehicle crash. The investigation continues.
