HIGHLANDS – Santa came to the Community Center last Thursday evening, and so did hundreds of children and parents who wanted to whisper their desires in his ear. Pct. 3 and the Chamber of Commerce combined this year, to provide a fun and festive experience for the families of the area.
The venue was different this year, and Santa arrived by foot, not by fire truck, but all the children seemed to be happy with the event, anyway. Besides Santa, the Grinch was a popular if scary visitor to the center too. Decorated Christmas trees and other decorations can still be seen at the Community Center.
Some families came early, so that they could also go to the Elementary School for a Christmas Choir pageant. See story above.
