Areas begin to look a lot like Christmas

Santa arrives in Highlands and Crosby Saturday on fire trucks

Highlands Fire Dept. and Crosby Volunteer Fire Dept. both confirmed local hero status bringing Santa Claus to town Saturday.

In Highlands the park trees had been decorated by local groups and meanwhile the Highlands Rotary dispensed hot chocolate and snacks. It was under arrangement by Jessica Woods for the Highlands Chamber of Commerce.

The Crosby-Huffman Chamber brought out lots of kids to the street to catch the candy thrown from lighted vehicles. The parade was attended by Precinct 3 Constable’s Office and kept flowing by Eddie Foster. The Chamber bestowed four trophies for best parade elements.

In Highlands Santa is ensconced between Miss Highlands and Jr. Miss Highlands to hear the wishes of local girls and boys for Christmas joy at Heritage Park. Kids thronged the park to speak with Santa and give him a wish list letter.
