Citizens of the Year

Warren and Cheryl Scherer yearly donate food, toys and clothing to those in need, as found by Crosby’s Emergency Medical Service providers at HCESD#5.

In 2018 Harris County ESD 5 received a total of 3,321 calls for assistance by 911. Of these calls 23 were cardiac arrest, 42 deaths, 46 Life Flights, 1,901 Transports. This is a 12% increase and has been steady. As a result we have promoted 3 Captains to help oversee on-scene response operations. This will also help us reduce delays by providing a consistent first response program with senior paramedics.
